Safety, Security and Airworthiness

Safety, Security and Airworthiness are the central pillars of Aerovista operations and business philosophy; nothing ever matters more:

Safety
Safety is the single most important operating & human factor in aviation. The objective of aviation safety is to minimize the risk of in-flight or on-ground incidents and accidents. Risk management and risk mitigation is achieved through good communication, clear procedures as well as constant reviewing of existing procedures, good training, good reporting and auditing and most of all through the creation of a non-punitive safety culture that encourages safety initiatives. It is a regulatory requirement to follow safety laws in support of the airline’s Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC).

At Aerovista, a Safety culture prevails because the airline’s AOC is built upon the successful execution of the Aerovista Safety Manual and that policy is approved and regularly audited by the regulatory authorities. Aerovista team members are encouraged to think about their actions, speak up when they have any concerns and use the confidential reporting systems set up by the safety sections. The safety culture depends to a large extent on Aerovista’s company culture, which is non-punitive.

Security
Aviation security requires that all possible actions be taken to ensure that every flight is flown with consideration to the security of the passengers, crew & aircraft both in flight and on the ground. In addition, all possible mitigating actions must be considered when operating into higher risk areas. It is also a regulatory requirement to follow security laws in support of the airline’s AOC.

At Aerovista, a Security culture prevails because the airline’s AOC is built upon the successful execution of the Aerovista Security Manual and that policy is approved and regularly audited by the regulatory authorities. In addition, each Aerovista team member receives an induction course that includes the Security policy & procedures, so everyone in the airline understands the Security programme and its implications relative to their tasks, all of which facilitates ongoing compliance.

Airworthiness
An Aviation Airworthiness culture prevails at Aerovista because the company manuals are written and followed in accordance with the guidelines stipulated by the regulators, because aircraft and engine manufacturer guidelines for maintenance are adopted, because all certified and non-certified staff are properly trained and qualified to carry out their responsibilities, because the company ensures all mandated recurrent training requirements are adhered to and because a non-punitive culture is promoted within the organisation - where staff are encouraged to admit any mistakes which might compromise the safety and airworthiness of an aircraft without fear of blame.
